World Leader! The First Major Scientific And Technological Special Project In Qinghai Province Undertaken By Tianli Was Successfully Accepted Россия
On December 20th, 2023, the project acceptance and achievement evaluation meeting of the first major scientific and technological special project under "open competition mechanism to select the best candidates" of Qinghai Province, "Key Technology and Application Project for Preparing Anhydrous Magnesium Chloride from Salt Lake Brine", was held in Xining. The project was successfully accepted after the review of the expert group. The project researched the key technology of preparing anhydrous magnesium chloride from salt lake brine and carried out industrial application, and built the world's only production line with capacity of more than 6 tons per hour on the basis of the original production line of Qinghai Salt Lake Magnesium Industry to realize continuous and stable operation, and the results reached the international leading level.
The project is led by Shandong Tianli Energy Co. , Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Tianli"), and jointly undertaken by five units including Qinghai Salt Lake Magnesium Co. , Ltd. Through the method combination of basic theory research, key technology R&D, and demonstration project, closely focusing on the problems in the key technology of preparing anhydrous magnesium chloride from salt lake brine, the project carried out the process research on deep refining of salt lake brine and process research on preparing anhydrous magnesium chloride by bischofite three-stage dehydration. It overcame the key technical problems such as wall sticking, powder blasting and tray clogging in the preparation of anhydrous magnesium chloride from salt lake brine. Until December 18th, five test runs had been carried out in project implementation period, and the fifth test run achieved 62 days continuous operation with more than 6 tons stable output per hour. The cumulative output of qualified anhydrous magnesium chloride about 12, 000 tons, which met the product quality requirements of project plan.
The successful acceptance of the project has realized the long-cycle stable operation of the key technology for preparing anhydrous magnesium chloride from salt lake brine at high altitude area, which is of great significance for China to speed up the construction of world-class salt lake industrial base and realize the comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources.
