Less than half a month before the Spring Festival, the plant of Shandong Tianli Drying Equipment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shandong Tianli Energy Co., Ltd., is still full of manufacturing enthusiasm.

“The plant is working on welding process of the spray fluid bed dryer. After the welding is completed, the final assembly and pickling will be carried out, and then it can be packaged and shipped overseas.” Tianli Energy engineer Du Bin introduced that the spray fluid bed dryer is a kind of equipment that integrates mixing, wetting, granulation and drying. Through the combination of spray drying and fluid bed dryer technology, the transformation of powder to granule is realized.

In the finished product area, the reporter saw several tall, brand-new spray fluid bed dryers, cyclones, wet scrubbers, coolers and other equipment neatly arranged and standing quietly. Among them, a large equipment with a length of 13 meters, width of 5 meters and height of 4 meters is very stand out.

“This is the upper body of the spray fluid bed dryer, which is a new equipment that has been completed this month. It will be packed soon and sent to the UAE in February.” Du Bin introduced that the spray fluid bed dryer is the core equipment of Juhua UAE calcium chloride project. The project uses waste hydrochloric acid produced as a by-product of the fluorine refrigerant unit to produce anhydrous calcium chloride. It is a typical waste hydrochloric acid comprehensive utilization project.

In the UAE, a set of anhydrous calcium chloride production line with an annual output of 40,000 tons will be built. Du Bin said that the equipment has been processed and is being packaged. It is expected to be sent to the UAE in February and completed in May.

The new equipment has just been completed, and new orders have followed.

“In 2024, the company completed 502 production tasks, an increase of more than 50% over the previous year.” Liu Feng, general manager of Tianli Drying Equipment Company, said that this is a good start of new year. We received a large number of orders before the Spring Festival, and now the production capacity in the first quarter is basically full. “During the Spring Festival, we reasonably arranged employees to work overtime according to the order volume, and concentrated our efforts to ensure equipment production, so that the project can be delivered on time according to the schedule.”

 

Reduce production costs and energy consumption--Provide scientific and technological support for achieving the “dual carbon” goal

In the plant, a 10-meter-long and black giant cylinder has just been completed welding.

“This is the steam rotary dryer of the CRRC biomass project, which is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly dehydration equipment.” Tianli Energy engineer Sun Yunxing introduced that the equipment will be used in the high-value recycling project of bamboo powder by CRRC Group. Through the gasification of bamboo powder, high-value-added bamboo charcoal and green-labeled steam required by the bamboo industrial park can meet the energy self-sufficiency of the industrial park.

Biomass is the most abundant renewable resource in the world, but it has low calorific value, is prone to go mouldy and deterioration, and is inconvenient for storage, transportation and conversion. Sun Yunxing said that the drying device developed by Tianli can strengthen the drying of biomass, with the advantages of fast drying rate, low energy consumption and compact equipment. It can effectively utilize biomass resources, reduce dependence on petrochemical energy resources, promote green development, circular development and sustainable development of agriculture, and help achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.

This is an important foothold for Tianli Energy to actively respond to the Chinese green, low-carbon and high-quality development.

In recent years, Tianli Energy has developed the fluidized rotary granulation and drying machine, which has achieved the one-step completion of the calcium chloride dihydrate granule granulation and drying process, reducing the overall energy consumption by 25%; and developed “high-efficiency, energy-saving and environmentally friendly ammonium chloride steam rotary drying complete process and equipment”, reducing the total energy consumption cost by 35%.

“These independently innovative technology products have effectively reduced the industry’s production costs and energy consumption, and have reached the international advanced level.” Liang Guolin, assistant of the general manager of Tianli Energy Company and general manager of Tianli Technology Engineering Company, said that Tianli Energy has achieved energy conservation and consumption reduction by upgrading the technology of traditional industries, providing strong scientific and technological support for the industry’s production to achieve the “dual carbon” goal.

At the same time, Tianli Energy continues to pay attention to high-performance energy-saving materials. It has signed the liquid crystal polymer fluid bed dryer project with Celanese and Worley, and provided the copper refinery steam rotary drying device for the Kuchi Copper Company of the Adani Group in India. These projects represent Tianli Energy’s strength in high-tech and high-performance materials.

“Demand comes from the market, and results go to the market.” Liang Guolin said that Tianli Energy has continuously developed a series of specialized technologies, products and services that meet market demand in the specialized market. It has been designing and developing fluid bed dryers since the 1990s, and has now become a representative of the industry’s advanced productivity, an organizer and promoter of industry academic exchanges and technological innovation.

At present, Tianli Energy has built the largest drying engineering laboratory in China, which can conduct tests of related materials for users, provide a reliable basis for equipment selection, system optimization design and commissioning, and is the main test and R&D development base for drying, energy-saving and environmental protection technologies and equipment in China.

The Juhua UAE calcium chloride project, which will be completed in May this year, is a strong evidence of Chinese standards to the Middle East.

At present, Tianli Energy has built nearly 10 calcium chloride production lines in the Middle East, and 5 are under design and processing. These production lines are all designed and processed in accordance with Chinese standards, which is an important action of technology driving the export of domestic equipment and materials, indicating that Chinese standards are increasingly recognized by the international market.
